he Shoei VFX series has been a leader in the off-road safety (DDS) segment for years, thanks to its jagged shape, innovative design and exceptional safety features
- with the introduction of the new VFX-WR, we are able again to raise the level for what concerns the protection of the head and the high-end safety. Although the line of its predecessor is still well recognizable, the new VFX-WR pushes even further the limits of evolution, enclosing years of research and development by Shoei have led us to the realization of the VFX-WR the new way of design an off-road safety device. SHOEI has adopted for the VFX-WR a new internal shell mechanism for the absorption of shock waves M.E.D.S. (Motion Energy Distribution System), which is a technically more advanced system, compared to conventional multi-density dome systems. While the outer layers of EPS dissipate the shock, absorbing its energy, an additional central layer of dynamic EPS reduces rotational energy in the event of a casualty. Anchored by a wider central column, the EPS portion oscillates during impact, allowing the three perimeter columns to absorb energy. The result is a significant reduction in the rotational force discharged on the rider's head. The Shoei VFX-WR will be available in 6 sizes (XS-XXL), produced on 4 different outer shell sizes made of Shoei AIM + fiber mix. Naturally, the standard features are of a high standard, as much as you expect from each Shoei hood
- the ventilation system consists of 16 air inlets and extractors to keep the inside temperature inside the cap cool, optimal comfort is guaranteed by the interior made of 3D Max-Dry completely removable and washable. This model is also equipped with the well-known Emergency Quick Release System (E.Q.R.S.) emergency release system and a large visual window for greater peripheral visibility and for positioning all types of masks on the market. The VFX-WR is the perfect choice for all off-road bikers.
